Here to Eternity: What Comes Next & Why It Matters Now

A bigger picture of heaven, hell, and everything in between—why eternity shapes our everyday choices and faith.

Everywhere we look today, our world seems filled with doom and gloom and focused on instant gratification. In this year’s Parish Retreat, Fr Ken Barker MGL will explore how taking on an eternal perspective at any age and stage of the journey is key to living hope-filled and purposeful lives.

There are two options for this year's parish retreat…
Stay overnight

Arrival on Friday 9th May is any time from 4.30pm, with dinner being served at 6pm. Spend an evening alone in prayer, or gather some friends for a relaxed evening and leisurely breakfast before the retreat day begins at 9.30am. 

Arrive on Saturday

Join us on Saturday for our day retreat at Mt Carmel Retreat Centre, including morning tea and lunch. 

Day Retreat Details:

DATE: Saturday 10th May 2025

TIME: 9.30am - 3.30pm

LOCATION: Mt Carmel Retreat Centre, Varroville

COST: 

For those staying overnight:

  • Friday Night/Saturday daytime - Single Room part-linen service (bring your own doona/sleeping bag and towel) = $153

  • Friday Night/Saturday daytime - Shared Room part-linen service (bring your own doona/sleeping bag and towel) = $112

  • Optional extra: Full linen service = $25

For those attending only the day retreat:

  • Saturday Day Retreat = $60

MORE INFO:

* All over 18 year old parishioners are welcome to attend

* Mass will be available on the day

* There will be a free bus available for over 65 years olds who require transport

* Numbers are limited for both the Friday night overnight stay and the Retreat so get in quick!

* Payments can be made by credit card at registration or in cash, however, all cash payments must be received two weeks prior to the retreat to ensure your place. Once you register, we will send you further details.

Note: We don’t want cost to be an issue that prevents someone from attending the Parish Retreat, so please speak to Frances in the Parish Office if you need assistance.
