What is Tech Savvy Seniors?
An opportunity to have one-on-one support from senior highschool students to help you build the skills and confidence needed to use your phone and/or computer.
Each session starts with a presentation, then you have the opportunity to ask any questions you have.
Session 1: Computer and Smartphone Basics
Session 2: E-Safety Scams that can occur via message, telephone, WhatsApp and email. Protecting your privacy online and social media. Changing your passwords frequently.
Session 3: Connecting with others online. How to navigate apps which help us connect with others. Apps include: Facebook, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Instagram, Facetime, messages, emails
Session 4: Navigating Important Apps for our everyday life. Apps for Travel, Health, Entertainment, Music/Audio, Games, Government, Mindfulness, Uber
Staff and students will meet you in the foyer of the Library 10 minutes before the session starts.
