At St Declan's we want to make sure that our parishioners and volunteers remain safe and free from harm as they minister at and use our facilities. We have Work Health and Safety (WHS) measures put in place to minimise risk to a person’s health or safety while at Mass, at another event, or while moving around our site.
In keeping with current NSW Work Health and Safety regulations, all ministry volunteers are required to undergo WHS training in line with the specific expectations of their particular ministry. For example, volunteering as a Reader at Mass carries different risks to operating the Coffee Machine in the Coffee Cart Ministry. Training therefore needs to be appropriate, specific and updated every 3 years.
If you are an Acolyte, Eucharistic Minister, or Reader/Commentator, we ask that you update your WHS training as soon as possible. If you did not attend the in-person training held in the church on 8 June, 2022, could you please watch the following video and fill in the form below to let us know that you have viewed the training video.
Thank you for your cooperation.
